I had almost finished this post, when I accidentally hit the back button in my browser. I hoped not every ting was lost, but to no avail.
So I had to write it all over again, and it is not fun – wasteful I have to say! Stupid computer.
Anyways, here we go again. In a few days, five to be exact, we are flying to Bangkok, Thailand with Austrian Air. We are staying at The Oriental, one of the famous hotels of the world, for three days. We were in Thailand just a few months ago, so we have seen many of the sights there all ready, so this time we can spend all our time relaxing at the hotel or hanging out at other hotels bars and may Koh San Road. And we are definitely going back to the Banyan Tree for some roof-top drinks.
After three days in Bangkok, we are flying to Koh Samui (same island as we stayed at during our honeymoon), taking the boat directly to Koh Tao – another island two hours north by boat. It is one of the best diving locations in the world, and Elisabeth and I are going to take a diver’s license with the Scandinavian Diving Club.
Four/five days later we are heading to Koh Phangan. It is situated between Samui and Tao and only a quick boat trip away. Phangan is another well-known location in Thailand – host to the famous full-moon party and some of Thailand’s cheapest accommodation. We are staying at the Long Bay Resort on Had Yao Beach for 16 days, in a beach front bungalow, but we wont be there for the big party. I have heard that the party-vibe is quite ubiquitous anyway, so I am sure we will not miss out on anything.
I must admit that I think is a little "Syden" to travel to the same country and almost the same locations twice in one year, but we really enjoyed our honeymoon in Thailand this February. The people are very nice, the food lovely, the infrastructure is reliable and everything is extremely good value! And if you combine a few days in the urban capital of Bangkok with a few weeks at a tropical island paradise, you really have every ting you could ever ask for in a vacation.
