I just need to get a logo uploaded so that I can show it on another web site that I am working on.
Sometimes internet is difficult – like now – I guess it is just the Sharepoint thing that isn’t made for home-made web management.
Anyways – this is the logo.
Quite nice it is.

Propaganda, a Norwegian news site covering marketing, advertising, communication and new media, just published a pretty good article about the company that I work at – Making Waves. It’s in Norwegian and the headline reads something like: “The survivors of dot.com“.
That’s actually a pretty good description of us. Most of my colleagues lived through the dot.com era – the up and downs – everything included. Got off the doomed Adcore-train and started our own business. All bets were off, nobody really knew how this would turn out. First as Coziba, then finally as Making Waves.
We worked hard for two years, making the waves that we’ve made so far.
And now, we are the survivors.

We just signed a deal with Trimanet – a Norwegian technology company specializing in Episerver – the leading content management system in Scandinavia. They’re five great people, professional and friendly, and I’m looking forward to when they move in with us in a couple of weeks. They will be merged in as a technology unit under the Making Waves brand-name.
There’s an article about the merger in Propaganda.
This will be a great addition to the technology unit in Making Waves, and we have the opportunity to establish ourselves as a leading company on the .NET platform in general, and Episerver in specific.

Today, we did a soft-launch of Kaupa – an online marketplace connecting farmers and consumers. The purpose of Kaupa, from a farmer’s perspective, is to enable farmers and producers of traditional products to reach a bigger market and take a greater share of the profits than they would selling through a distributor. The benefit for the customer is that they can buy products that they otherwise wouldn’t be able to get, and that they can learn more of the history behind the products and the traditional manufacturing methods they use.
The company that I work at, Making Waves has been working with Kaupa for more than six months now. We’ve been involved in everything from naming, branding, desing, building the online shop, project management, and marketing and communications. So it’s been a very exiting project for us to be a part of. My role with Kaupa is mostly related to marketing and communications, and helping them create a great shopping experience.
Visit kaupa.no and check out the great products that they have on offer. Don’t forget to sign up for Kaupaposten – their bi-weekly newsletter. And if you really like kaupa.no you can even invite your friends!
